Functional Technologies is the studio of Richard Caceres a developer, designer, and musician. Projects include web development, hardware development, hardware preservation, photography, sound design, and other creative experiments with technology. This process of exploration led me to restoring vintage audio gear and selling it online on Reverb, Ebay, and now my own web store.

Graduating from UCLA’s Design | Media Arts program set the foundation for using technology for design and art. Richard also has had a successful career as a software engineer working for Cargo, Internet Archive, Quip/Slack, and also with Use All Five. Now his forcus is on this studio practice and following threads of interest.
