Functional Technologies is a creative studio founded by Richard Caceres a developer, designer, and musician.

Projects include web development, audio hardware development, hardware preservation, sound design, and other experiments and applications of technology. This process of exploration led me to restoring vintage audio gear and selling it online on Reverb, Ebay, and Facebook Marketplace. See also LuckCatLFO.com!

Graduating from UCLA’s Design | Media Arts program set the foundation for using technology for design and art. Richard also has had a successful career as a software engineer working for Cargo, Internet Archive, Quip/Slack, and also with Use All Five. Now his focus is on this studio practice and following threads of interest.
