What’s usually included in our restorations as needed:
- Changing the belts with high-performing belts
- Calibrating the tape speed
- Cleaning the tape heads
- Demagnetizing the tape head
- Oiling the capstan bearing
- Removing and replacing any dried grease
- Cleaning knobs and sliders with contact cleaner
- Finding and reparing any loose solder joints
- Replacing capacitors if need. Eg for dead audio playback
- Cleaning the inside and outside
- Replacing any missing parts with original or after-market parts
- Applying rubber renue to pinch rollers or idler tires to extend life
- Replacing a pinch roller if it has any deformation
- Replacing or restoring a motor
- Replacing broken gears
- Testing recording and playback on all channels
